Description
This elevated eastbound S-Bahn (Stadtbahn) is approaching Berlin-Hackescher Markt, one of hundreds of S-Bahn and U-Bahn stations in Berlin. Trains either run on elevated tracks or underground through most of the inner city and during the day they usually have eight cars, night trains usually six.
The smooth-appearing material between the four tracks is sound-deadening so the members of the German Government can do their important work in relative quiet.
In the background is the Bode Museum. This picture was taken on 26 December 2013,
