Description
The Bode Museum is located on the northern tip of the Museumsinsel in Berlin-Mitte. It houses collections of paintings from the 15th to 18th centuries, late-Gothic and Renaissance sculpture, Greek and Roman coins and Egyptian art and papyrus (Lonely Planet, Germany, 1998).
The museum was designed by architect Ernst von Ihne and completed in 1904 (Wikipedia).
In the foreground is the Spree River and in the distance is the Fernsehturm.

Very cool capture At first I thought that someone righteously created a museum honoring Vaughn Bode, a very good artist

Lovely picture Sig.
What a lovely old building. Thanks for sharing. :)
You sent me looking to see if this was named after the Bode who was well known in electronics, but it is instead named after its first curator. Nice shot!

Welcome back! I hope you enjoyed your trip! Splendid shot! :)
Beautiful old style of architecture and a great shot along the river. The Fernsehturm looks to be in excess of a thousand feet tall! Welcome home and we hope it was a great trip!
