Description
The medieval town of Hora is built at the base of the Monastery of St. John the Theologian. Its streets, if they may be called that, are very narrow and convoluted to discourage any invaders. The restored buildings are mostly owned by wealthy investors.
The two-lane paved highway in the foreground connects Hora with the coastal town of Skala, 3 km distant.
