Description
A house I came across a while back I just thought it looked like it has so much history and I am sure lots of stories about the people that had passed through the doors. I liked the way the tree framed the roof to me it was so charming. I could picture a fresh coat of paint, some flowers a garden, a porch swing and a brand new home and life for someone. Have a great weekend all.
Quite a few of you asked about how I was able to get the photos of the giraffes from that angle, well there is a bench that is near where they were so I did stand on that but they were just close enough that I just was able to zoom in enough. The story below is about twin giraffes that were born last month in Texas they are so adorable, I want the job of working with them.

you are right.. what a charming house.. you have a 'good' eye.
Nice old house
Great capture Lynell, and good point about this classic old home. Sad it is in such a bad condition.
This house have "atmosphere" (Know no other words for it in the moment) I can hear the children laughing and shouting or mum is calling for dinner - it hurts a little bit seeing places like this with all its lost memories. My place would be at the terrace, playing a guitar...
This would make a charming home if fixed up! The framing by the tree branch is wonderful!
By the title I was fully expecting to see a rusted out Chevy, lying nose down somewhere in the thick woods, but this will serve just as well. I love shots of dilapidated old things such as houses, fences, posts, gates, doors, vehicles, etc., and this one really fits the bill, Lynell, with peeling paint galore. Superlative capture of the old timer.
What a beautiful old house, wonder why it's abandoned? I'd love to live there! Excellent capture!
would love checking out places like this, maybe something got hidden somewhere none found yet. cool shot.
Hey Lynell,This picture reminds me Famous old Country song "This old House" from singer Stuart Hamblen :-)))),I think ıt can be still find from youtube !:-)))) You right about the story behind of this humble house and the people that had passed through the doors!! and you right again, with a little bit restoration, that little house could be great warm "sweet Home" for someone again!! I like it that old house:-)) Thank you for sharing the picture of that beautiful old house and thanks for the info about topic that; "how I was able to get the photos of the giraffes from that angle" !:-)))
You and I think the same line with old houses like this I could picture this with fresh paint a swing and flowerbeds all around......and oh the stories it could tell great pic sweetie Hugs Susan

They are so cute. s for working at a zoo, check out this link for some info. http://www.biology.ufl.edu/undergraduates/ZooKeeper.aspx You could volunteer and/oroffer your camera for a zoo's publicity. Dream big, Lynell
What an amazing old house.
I like shots of dereliction as I may have said before. Nice one Lynell.
This house has such wonderful character. I can just imagine generations of families raising their kids in this house.
Superb shot of this old house and I agree, some fresh paint and some repairs, then you could live in there again.
cool
A great picture with a story where I think of the many homeless that are seeking a place to shelter.
