After the first mowing of the season, I had to get a shot of the phlox in front of our house. I liked the way the light and shadow played on the pink blooms.

Great capture Rod! love the colour and lighting! After a nice run of sun and warm temps we're back to rain and cool but..... we're suppose to hit the 80's later on

:) Good for you. Glad the flowers are here. I spent part of the day, today, planting seedling trees in a big open space left behind from trees felled by hurricane Sandy. Hopefully they'll grow.

Yay!! It's beautiful! :) The only flowers we saw today were in the cemetery at Dodge City, but it was in the 80s here, and we're happy to be in Kansas! We'll be ready to talk dates by the end of the week. :D Whoo-hoo!

yeah and in a couple of days people will say,freakin hot out here huh??lol. i cant wait for the summer to come. in luxembourg we will again have to get used to 4-season weather but i prepare myself mentally for that i got to take it as a whole package-new life-new surroundings-new weather etc. and keep it in balance.

Beautiful Rod...love the springtime colors. This is our second day in Kansas. Hear we're in for a little cold snap beginning about Thursday in the Olathe area. Will it never end? :-) Dodge City last night, Cheney State Park tonight, Council Grove tomorrow night, settling into Hillsdale State Park outside of Paola, KS we think for two weeks after that.
