Description
...springtime 2012.
View from atop Battery Kinzie, a coastal artillery fortification built in 1910 to protect Puget Sound (in Washington State) from attack by hostile naval forces entering from the Pacific Ocean through the Strait of Juan de Fuca.
I took this after a heavy downpour of rain which can be seen moving off complete with a partial rainbow in the center of this panorama. You can also see somebody down on the beach with their umbrella still open:)
Wish you could see this at its full size and resolution but it wound up 12672 pixels wide prior to my compressing it to Rendo's maximum size limit of 4000 pixels wide.
This is 17 frames stitched together without effort by Photoshop.
Thanks for looking.
A zoom helps.
Bill

Fabulous image!!
Nice work Bill! Just the right image height to include all we need to see without the usual foreground clutter!
Brilliant! and so good to be able to put Battery Kinzie into a landscape context!
It looks amazing in zoom, fabulous capture. x
Amazing pano and view Bill. God Bless.

Beautifully done panorama of this beautiful landscape!!
fabulous panorama Happy New Year 2013!!
WOW! Looks like 270 degrees or more. The vantage point really makes this. Things close by and way far away. Now I'm starting to wonder when we will see films with this kind of panoramic view? However, I bet most people would get motion sick. An excellent job, Bill. Keep up the good work! And, a Happy New Year to you and Tara! :-)
WOW! it is so beautiful. Yes, it would have been great, had we been able to see it in its full size. :) My new camera seems to have this function, somehow. Didnt try that out yet.
Fabulous pano! Straits of Juan de Fuca to the left, Puget Sound to the right. It's an epic place for sure. Terrific work, hon! :*
cool
EXCELLENT WORK!
Wow, about as narrow a panorama as you can get without it being completely shut, like at 4000 x 000 pixels. Marvelous stitching, sans Photoshop, in this stellar scene, Bill.
Absolutely fantastic, Bill; the rainbow is a brilliant touch (I'm sure you ordered it special for this shot, right?) Well done you!
Wow ya gotta zoom to see this one Great render Hugs Susan
This is marvelous Bill and it looks familiar. I'm sure we drove past there when I visited! :)
Very nice panorama.
