Description
This came to me today while I had some down time at work, so naturally I started over-thinking things again. It occurred to me how very different hugs are depending on the person. I think there comes a point during which you can decide whether it's just a hug, or something more.
Release
by Caleb Myers
It's the subtleties
That make the difference.
The weight, the pressure,
the distance, the heaviness
of the moment
It's the breathing.
The assessment of the senses.
Your smell, your breath, your breast
against my own
The Inhale
But it's the Exhale
that really matters.
The moment of surrender, and the time between
An eternity in an instant.
A hug is a simple thing,
but it's the Release
that makes an embrace.

Wonderful Work, A Cute Avatar,
Incredibly insightful, and very well written. I read this one aloud to my husband, and he liked it too. Excellent work!
