Description
Another one. I like this idea of writing a poem a day. It feels good to get back into it. This one is pretty personal. I think I'll let it speak for itself.
Bittersweet
by Caleb Myers
A revelation
unfortunate, it seemed
at first glance
But,
then again,
Bittersweet.
Is this the something
We're meant to be,
or
is it unfounded?
Virgin snow, unexplored.
Is the destination worth
soiling its purity?
We flirt with the inevitable.
The invisible median between
closure.
And closer
So what do we get?
We ration our love.
We deny our thoughts,
stifle our senses
until the time is right
or
too late.
is there a difference?

I like ... The invisible median between closure. And closer That's good stuff! A clear thought, clever (but not gratuitously clever) use of the language. Nicely done!
I'm glad that stuck out to you! I think those are the most important lines in this whole poem, to me.
Beautiful! Clever and poignant.
Very touching work...I can so relate
IF THE TIME IS RIGHT, THAN IT CAN NEVER BE TOO LATE. Interesting picture, at first I thought it was looking at two people through a windsheild... with a closer look, it makes me think you're in an amusement ride.
