Description
No just a photo of Melbourne through a tilt-shift lens. The lens belongs to a friend of mine. As much fun as it is, I really couldn't justify buying one for the amount of use it would get. It's a bit of fun though.

I was fool enough at first that I was going to ask where the model was, until I read the text. It's an irony given I know people making model pieces and doing their best to make them look real in photos. :-P

I was going to say "poor turn out, for a Royal wedding!"...Cool effect, though as you say probably cheaper to build the model...
I've heard there's also a way to do this effect in Photoshop. From what I understood, it takes a lot of layers. But using that lens seems like much less work for what may be a nicer result. If you don't have a photographer friend or a deep wallet, sometimes camera stores will rent niche/special-use lenses. (Which can save you from buying expensive gear that's rarely used). It's something that it wouldn't hurt to ask about when stopping by.
