Description
Captured 2/17/11, very early in the morning, within walking distance of my humble habitat.
Actually, to be more definitive, the sidewalk shown in the middle separates the parking lot at the left from our community Senior Citizen Center to the right.
Auf wiedersehen, thankx for the visit, and for any and all favs and complimentary comments.

Looks like you are out and about pretty early in the morning. Nice shot :)
Cool shot Harry, great eye to spot this interesting scene
Long shadows indeed with that early morning low sun...great capture!
cool shot
Sentinels standing guard waiting to be relieved:) Well seen. Like the rays too.
Fantastic light and rays. Excellent shot!
splendid shot for an intelligent separation
I see you are not trusted to back into a space withouth hitting the posts! Lovely High-key shot.
Look at those bright rays! Wonderful shot full of light and shadows.
Super lighting and shadows on this Harry, Especially the shadows! Hope you are recovering well after your operation? Off to see Rosy tomorrow for a few days, but will try to comment when I log on my friend.. By the way, thanks for the links you forward.. I have just watched the VW plant one.. No wonder the US and UK car industry is failing! Once again the Germans are so far forward....
Lovely late afternoon/early morning shadows Harry! Well seen and captured.
Dear Harry beautiful capture I like the perspective of light!!!!
I can feel the warmth.. Nice capture
Beautiful shadows and capture. I like the dimpled strip that runs along the sidewalk. That would help in wet weather. Dana
MOST awesome shadows my friend...I love theses! Love the light flares also!
this really is different from the shot I just commented on (the naked tree against a winter-lit street), but it has a similar inward & moody feel. The light cascading down into the shot (from the upper left corner) really coats this piece with softness & beauty, and the simplicity of the posts, their shadows, and those metal structures on the right give the piece an air of the abstract. The sidewalk & street seem dreamy. And the flare---which I'm a fan of, I mean it's one of the things cameras do that no other medium can---is handled and included with real artistry, as it 'graces' everything, and adds the touch of color that complements the reddish-amber plants on the right. Another example of how you find art in the places next door; and the big 'splash' of sidewalk in the foreground is all the piece needs to give it grounding. Beautifully seen & presented, Harry.
