Description
Captured 1/1/11 looking west - New Year's Day - around noon, in beautiful Sherman Oaks, California.
Original on top.
Better viewed full size.
Just in case no one noticed, I've been absent from the Renderosity scene over the past week, hors de combat while nursing a bad back, which flares up every so often, preventing me, unless emergency conditions arise, from sitting at the computer for any appreciable length of time.
After aggressive treatment the back is a lot better, but, for the time being, I'm limiting my comments on your postings to short laconic phrases.
Oh, as a side note, I'm having eye surgery on February 14th -- Valentine's Day, which may put a crimp in my postings, comments and photo work.
Toodles, thankx for stopping by, and for any and all favs and complimentary comments.

I did miss you, Harry, and had made aa note to sitemail you if you hadn't appeared by tomorrow. I LOVE the third one!
Very nice image to return on Harry, and so good to hear your recovering and I'll keep you in my prayers that your upcoming eye surgery goes well my friend.
No3 is a realy cool. I thought you were on some car show or something and just working on your picture to show it here. Sorry to hear your backp roblem and wish your eye surgery will be with a good outcome.
Another excellent collage, Harry; the second image looks like a southern California earthquake! And the third is one of my favourite filters. Sorry about your back, I wondered where you were. Good luck with your eye surgery!
No fair, Harry. You are having just WAY TOO MUCH FUN! I did noticed you were missing, by the way. I was just hoping you were on a photo trip. Sorry you have not been well, hope all goes well with your surgery. This is another awesome collage, I like the third especially....very different.
For some reason Harry these make me want to run along and try not to step on any lines (shadows on the ground) like I did as a kid...lol Love these!
Knew you were AWOL...lol...and of course missed you. Will keep the outcome of your eye surgery in my prayers. REST is never a bad thing:)
I love the third picture from the top ... a kind of drawing for comics!
Goodness, Harry, all kinds of not so fun stuff for you. Hope all goes well. As for these fotos, or this one done so many different ways--cool!! I especially like that second one!!
Nice work.
I was wondering where you were! The world is still spinning in the wrong direction from me as I am suffering jetlag. Sorry that your back flared up again Harry but glad it is better. Good luck with the eye surgery on MOnday! Oh - great collage! I really like the 2nd one from the bottom.
Gotta say, I love the second one Harry, great effects.. But the bottom one gives me a headache! lol But really glad you are feeling better in the back dept! Perfectly understand if you are otherwise occupied on the 14th mate! lol ;-) Great work Rob
Wow what was I drinking.... haha great trip through your street...
You have made some amazing variations to the top capture. I love the 3rd and 4th ones as it looks as though the sidewalk has come alive with beautiful little violets for spring, now wouldn't that be amazing and beautiful to see. I do hope your eye surgery goes well and that your back gets better soon too.
Cool images. I like the artistic touch you have given these. I am sorry to hear about your back. Best of luck with the eye surgery. You will have to let us know you are okay when you are able. hugs :)
Beautiful fence, shadows and postwork Harry. Super collage and variations. I have been away and hope the back is still improving. Also hope the eye operation went well. We are at the end of a detached retina surgery recovery process with my wife. Dana
