Description
For glass lovers everywhere!
Captured 1/24/11, early in the AM, in my upstairs bedroom.
At that time, the sunlight was streaming in atop my unmade bed, so working rapidly, I placed a drinking glass on a place mat on the covers, then began snapping away, changing POVs and rotating the glass as I proceeded.
It took five sessions of concentrated effort, but I now have a total of 205 fotos of four different drinking glasses, with prominent shadows, taken for the most part in my dining room.
I hope the anticollage crowd likes this series, because that's how these particular pics are all going to be presented - as a collage/montage. At my advanced age -- I'm probably the oldest, or one of the oldest, members of Renderosity -- so I don't have the time left to show my overwhelming thousands of photographs one at a time, or even three times a day, at one photo each. I'm not 18 anymore.
Adios, compadres, thankx for dropping by, and for any and favs and complimentary comments.

These came out well; the shadows of the pattern on the glass, as well as the glass itself, are lovely in all these angles. What a great idea!
Excelent idea and a very good study of the light and shadow.
Snap away and present them how you like old timer :-)
I find shadows fascinating. Very interesting collage here, and I'm sure the others will be just as nice.
Another creative work with shadows, the paterns are awesome, awesome!
A lovely collage of these wonderful shadows you captured. I'm laughing about you posting as collages with your age creeping up. This is how I feel about my pictures too. I have so many in my head but it is a worry not knowing if I am going to get enough time to create them all. LOL.
Wonderful shots Harry, and what a great idea for an experiment
come on I thought you was 18 for sure... just kidding here. I know how you feel and hope your family like your photos too so they be in safe hands. You maybe right about your age; you been the oldest. hope you keep on going for a long time. my dad is 95 and steal got his brains. this is wonderful
Fantastic idea and photographs. I like the play of light and shadows.

That's very creative Harry, play away, it's good to see you express yourself in a constructive way with shapes and light.
An interesting test, but have you noticed the blurring of shaded drawings ... yet the glass painter at medium angles are low! Is it because of the refraction ?
Great work Harry!!! great use of light.
Have no concern Harry. My dad lived to 99 1/2 (1908-2007) and he took pictures for 84 years (1923-2007) beginning at age 15. I've got hundreds of his photographic prints in a five drawer file cabinet. They make a great family archive. And I know he never got to fiddle with half he took. Wish he was here to see what we see everyday on Renderosity. Oh, and by all means...kudos to you and your creative handling of light and glass in this collage.
Super cool idea Harry...I like the shadows and lighting...excellent!
I must have stepped in during your Series Phase! These are really great, and danged if you couldn't market these! I can see this one hanging in the finest modern gallery.
