Description
Lost in thought, a contortionist in the making.
Captured 7/1/10, at the beautiful Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden on the beautiful campus of California State University Long Beach in beautiful Long Beach, California.
ZOOM for better detail.
If I ever adopted this pose at my age and with my infirmities, it would take a crow bar to pry me loose.
Adios, muchachos, thankx for clicking on, and for any and all complimentary comments and faves.

Adorable shot...you hurt you for anything ... your pain is unknown to many ... the worst is certainly put things into perspective ...
This is so sweet--she's just enchanted by your favorite koi!!
Nothing better than watching koi!!! But I don't think I could EVER have gotten in that position even as a kid, LOL. Now I hurt just looking at her!
I agree, amazing how kids can bend into all those positions. Colors are wonderful and it is such a sweet pic of the little girl.
I don't think I ever could get into that position! Great capture of this spry little person!
I can't do it either, but I just happened to take a picture of Bill a couple days ago in a similar pose. Your most excellent image reminded me to get busy and work that up for posting! The faded, dreamy look of your photograph matches her apparent mood. Nicely done!
This again suits your chosed colour style. I can still do that, but I can regret it later.
What an adorable image Harry! She is fascinated by the colorful fish! I hear you about that pose! I will porbably break a hip or something! LOL...
This reminds me of a photo I took of one of my neighbors she lived across the street and she loved to go see the White' ducks with me she was a doll, sadly their family had to move a couple years ago, and I sure miss her she used to bring me little flowers or pictures she made. Sweet image.
what a lovely image.....so sweet...staring at the koi carps....very lovely
Lol...love your comment. Well, you have to know that you get shots that would do me in. And if I got in that position (the girl above), I'd be in it to this day. (She's doing it all with her feet & knees: Didn't anyone tell her?) I know you live with pain all the time, & how it can wear one down; but your shots can demand close-to-the-ground shooting, and even if you can't do what this girl is doing, you must be finding a way. (Photographers should be able to buy an 8 year old's body the way they buy lenses, just for getting tough shots.) A delightful shot Harry, and her color scheme and placement are perfect for the composition, with the koi meandering in the distance...
Very nice study of this cute young lady. I could sit right there also and watch those Koi for hours. Dana
very good shot of human emotions as they watch these wonder fish
Great shot of this little girl...having spent two years in the Far East...I've seen this pose over and over...nobody needs a chair:) Nicely caught Harry.
I love the koi and my view of the race was designing a book of his history and as the carassius was mutated to reach the lovely goldfish and their hybrids a merry Christmas and happy 2011 my friend!!!
Soo CUTE!
