Description
i saw this muchroom with some others and i took the phbotos. and then I kick it a little bit to see what happens. LOL it was hard as a rock. I never saw this type before. someone may have posted it here.
Wonder if you can eat it? I never ate a wild muchroom as i was too afear to do it for I know nother about them but some you can eat like a food; some will get you high and you see strange things; and some will kill you deader than a door nail.
I been so busy and the holidays comeing up so if I do not get back on I like to wish all a Happy Thankgiveing

very gross mushroom lol but terrific capture!
this is first flowers from nature. my marks-4
I found mushrooms growing in my yard this week, they were huge, and almost looked like styrofoam, someone had smashed one of them and that is what I thought it was at first. Great image Jock. Have a nice Thanksgiving!!
I thought it was something a dog thow up at first lolo
Great capture, Jocko! I wish I could help you with the identification, but I'm at a loss. Maybe Andrea can help
Land Coral? Cool whatever it is! Happy Thanksgiving Jock!
Looks similar to something in the Ramaria family. Really gorgeous species and a great find!
nice image:)
This one is not in the book I have, but it's most likely in the Coral Mushroom family. Without a positive identification I wouldn't advise eating it even thou a lot of the Coral family are edible. Excellent find and capture! Happy Thankgiving Jocko! :)
Cool capture of what sure looks like crushed cauliflower, Jock. Maybe it's some kind of coral reef from the Gulf of Mexico. On the subject of mushrooms and fungi in general, check with Andrea/durleybeachbum, who is an expert in the field.
Most fascinating capture.

Great picture and mushroom, Jocko. Looks like cauliflower-mushroom, but when it is hard I guess its a kind of tinder. Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving! We don't have that feast here in Holland.
Almost look like coral... Interesting shot. Aloha
Lovely shot Jocko but can't answer your question, I am just a fun guy!!!
I've no idea, but how interesting! Shame on you for kicking it, naughty boy Jocko!
Better not to eat mushrooms if you aren't more than confident of their edibility! Excellent photo! :)
