This image is for Schonee. Why? Because I worked on it for days and finally wound up blowing away what I thought I wanted it to be and went with what it was telling me it wanted to be. I let go of where I thought I wanted to go and let lifes forces move me. In this regard it is truely Gothic. It is about letting go of our attachments. I think Schonee will understand.
Thanks also to Terry (Tea_Rex) for his thoughtful essay on the essence of Gothic art. See his comments in his work "Gothic Memories"

Roxy, I know what you're saying, my dear friend! It's funny and rather exciting when an image takes on a life of its own, and ends up leading you to make it what it wants to be. Those are the ones that define what art is. And you have been doing some incredible art, my friend! This is a beautiful and most appropriate artwork for Schonee! I'm sure she will trasure it.
A beautifully detailed scene and awesome postwork!
there are so many wonderful elements to this that I really enjoy I don't know where to start--perhaps at your forte's which is textures and lighting--the muted red wings really define this piece giving it drama-well done!
Terrific image and dedi
beautiful, wonderful character and scene
Stunning style
Wonderful scene, great work dear Roxy! No doubt she is a High Priestess! Details are very interesting, the cat and the mouse, the triple moon... A scene full of friendly warmth ! Hugs
Very good character and outfit. Very nice picture and colour tone.
Fantastic image Roxy. The colors are warm more you get a great smoothness in the whole scene. Beautiful dedication. Bravo!!
Fantastic image
I love the soft focus and the glow you achieved for this and the details are delicious. :)

XCellent!!!!
This is absolutely beautiful - full of symbolism and pathos the colours just sing and the lighting is perfect!
Gorgeous and rich color to this. Really wonderful painterly like quality to your art here. Love the lady with her pet raven and all the details in the setting. A fantasy feast to the eyes!
Don't sweat it out, it still looks really nice-- your effort has paid off. I like that soft, dreamy style. Such a classic look!
That's a quite thoughtful image Roxy. Yep! Sometimes, well most of the time, artwork just wants to be what it is. Well done. Nice dedication to Schonee too. I don't know what's up but I hope it all works out.
Wonderful fantasy scene and so nice dedication!!! Have a nice new week, hugs Elke
Excellent scene! Well done!
Excellent image. Has that old style photo look to it
Exceptionally rich image!
so marvelous!
I really like bloodelfs in WOW so this caught my eye...and held it (you shoulda seen me try to pull my eyeball off the screen). You always have such a nice glow to your art and in this particular render, it really adds a porcelain effect to her skin.
You really are drawn to these dark pieces aren't you LOL! This must have taken awhile to put together. Wonderful work, I love it!
Beautifully composed and rendered! I really like the colors and the sweet smile on this lady's face... :) Vashek
Truly amazing scene and character, her features are so beautiful. Very classy post work, this is glorious.
