Description
One of the most poignant parts of the Royal Victoria Park is the military cemetery.
It was situated out of sight of the hospital and was for patients who did not survive, staff and their families.
It is, truly, sobering to walk along these lines of tombstones and see the dates ascending day by day. It really brings home the cost, in human lives, of war.
Allies and enemies now rest in peace side by side.
