Description
...these two British airplanes are vintage 1940 but they were photographed last Saturday, August 7, 2010 flying at Paine Field, Washington. The day was gray and drizzly...not much color to work with...similar to Battle of Britain weather in July and August 1940.
My postworked photo here is grainy enough to take on a seventy year old look...don't you agree? LOL
...Hope you aren't worn out by all the talk of prop blur but this is my entry to the challenge I posted on July 25th (Click Here for a refresher).
...That's a Supermarine Spitfire on the left and a Hawker Hurricane on the right. Most of my shots were miserable failures last Saturday but this one at least shows reasonably in-focus airplanes with plenty of prop blur.
Thanks to all of you who have posted "prop blur" photos since the 25th of July. I hope I am not missing anyone...I've seen photos from auntietk (Tara), debbielove (Rob), and several from cfulton (Clive)...have I missed your entry?
The challenge still stands...:)

No, you haven't missed my entry because I didn't have any, at least at this juncture. Excellent propeller blur on both fighters as they come soaring in low to strafe the airfield and parked aircraft.
Nice Capture. What a great eye, we were just at the Port Mugu Air show Sunday. Brings back some cool Memories. Great job!
this is wonderful shot of history
Nice shot Bill.. GREAT angle, you seem to have been quite close to the flight line.. Super postwork bring a 1940's look.. I often end up with a bland sky to work with as you know, except this year! Great job... Rob
Wow ... this is fabulous! It looks like something straight out of The World at War. Excellent postwork ... REALLY nicely done! :*
bonne photo!
Wonderfully atmospheric Bill and of course there's a Hurricane there. Beautiful postwork. This is what it's all about :)
Wowww love it...look like a picture from a real Movie ;-)
