As many of you know, I love to take pictures of people taking pictures at these events, e.g., the Memorial Day Ceremonies last May.
Photographers are the easiest people to ninja photograph. They are so involved and concentrated in their task that they are absolutely oblivious to what's going on around them. I could stick a lens in their ear, click away, and it would have no effect upon them. That said, I wonder how many times I've been ninjaed. Mostly by parking lot security cameras I suspect.
Despite it not being up to par as compared to the previous Expo events, I took a total of 648 pics at the one-day show, which normally draws about 30,000 visitors. I was chagrined and disappointed by the absence of the jet fighters, armored and tracked vehicles, the Goodyear Blimp, and antique autos that are unually on display at the Expo. And, in contrast to past shows, many of the planes on static display were roped off this time, making it difficult to lay hands on and photograph stuff up close and personal. There was easy access to the giant cargo planes and helicopters though. They did come up with tons more of vendors hawking food and wares in their temporary structures. They even had a long special row reserved for them. Avarice afoot.
Anyway, a tremendous and time consuming task lies ahead as I postwork ALL of the pictures I took at the Expo.
Toodles, and thankx for coming by.

Lotsa clicking going on there! Excellent pic's of peoples taking pics!! :-)
Interesting study of how to take photographs. I have to say you fine tuned your way of capture ppl. No distractive object just a main figure. Good job!
Fantastic candid (Ninja) shots of these photographers in action! Great collage Harry!
photo people comes in all sizes and diff type cameras to fix they money. wonderful shots
Oh yes... all in the same boat, here, with lots of different cams. I like the little girls face painting in the top pic!! lol
Ah fellow ninja very nice shots!
Excellent collage of photographers. Well done!
So many photographers..so little time..:) it is fun taking candids of cameras..
Great shots of these photographers and videographers Harry... They are clearly deeply involved in the task at hand. Pity about the jet fighters etc. It must be the economic recession that caused a cut back at the show! Looking forward to the rest! :)
How fun! Excellent captures, all.
Gee I hope no one does this to me on the sly...that said, these shots are fascinating!
What's with the little girl in face paint...she must have stopped by a Special Forces booth at the Expo. They'll always paint your face if you let 'em. Good point...who's easier to photograph than a person taking pictures? I favor your two ladies but that has long been a bias of mine:-)
Great shots, Harry! I think the first one was on to you. He looks amused about something. I like the differences in the attitudes of the two ladies. One seems fiercely concentrating on getting her shot, while the other seems to be doing it rather daintily almost as an afterthought. Great capture of the reflection in the second ones sunglasses.
I gotta confess! I got a lens as big as as the the top on... My 300mm beauty is a mighty impressive beast! Like this set of clickers.. Thanks.. The Gold trendy looking camera is quite cool.... Thanks for these.. Rob.
