Description
Another shot from MooseRidge Gardens.
In the Japanese Garden there is a tea house, and on a wooden shelf sits this tea set.
This image was perfectly sharp, but needed a little extra ... je ne sais qua ... in order to be what I wanted it to be. Hence the postwork. I liked it a bit better with the painterly vibe to it.
You can decide for yourself ...
..........
I don't EVER change my images once they're posted, no matter what anyone suggests. However ... today I've made an exception. I loved Ronnie's idea of putting a little bit of text in the corner. Thanks, RJ! You're the best! I like the balance the characters give the piece overall.
I left the thumb without the writing, so you can see it both ways if you've a mind to.

great shot...
Very nice post work!
Wonderful still life, looks like a painting, do we just have a forum challenge about these 'kitchen ware'.
super work
Your choice of color is very unique and beautiful!
Beautiful.I love the oriental look.I love the "cracked effect"
this is wonderful
Excellent postwork. just subtle enough not to detract from the main idea of the picture
You have given this a beautiful textured feel.
Lovely!
has a homey warmth to it wonderful work, Tara May by the way yours words "be open to liking what you did not expect" sure sparked a new light for me surprised me a bit too as what dawned on me in just a few words Thank You warm hug and love, Linda Kaye

In fact I would have been tempted to include some Japanese writing down the side :D Thought I'd again comment this sweetie, yes I do aprove, it looks great, I like it alot, but it was still awesome right of the bat :)
Wow, this has such a calm, zenlike feel to it; but then I guess that's exactly how it's supposed to bel. The characters only add to the effect. It's calm and serene and I like it very much.
Very nicely done Tara!
It is a great image.
Brilliant!! The postwork is perfect, not too much.
Not sure about this one, sorry to go against the flow :(
Excellent work! :)
When I read the title in the ebot I was half expecting to see a Geisha serving tea... However, this is marvelous... I love the postwork and agree that Ronnie's idea of the writing add a special touch!!!! Excellent work all around my friend! :)
great picture!
This is SO beautiful! Ready to print, frame and hang it in the kitchen. XX
Wonderful picture!!!
very beautifully done ! I bet that tea pot & bowls were heavy ? ! I saw some downtown and they were very expensive and heavy
BEAUUU-tiful image and the text adds to it :-)))
I like this a lot. I agree with the plus value of adding the Japanese characters for balance. Obviously there is meaning beyond visual balance...how do you and RJ, who I don't think speak Japanese, come up with something meaningful...I know there are Japanese characters in my fonts...but I haven't thought it through further.
Superb image and great decision on the post work. Cha-Do was performed during my induction to my sword school. The memory of the pain from 2 hours of kneeling (seiza) is a friend that will travel with me for the rest of my life, I think! So, while the image is excellent, it DOES cause an involuntary twitch to form at the memory! Ha ha!
nicely done !
I don't normally go with Postwork, believe it or not Tara! But, this works for me... Its subtle, pastel colours and the text works well too.... Excellent... Rob. PS. Thanks for the help.. Got the info.. Many thanks again... Another BIG sky picture to come soon....
wonderful!!!!!
superb image!
