By the title, I am assuming that you are using Tolkien as a reference. The black hair and grey eyes are perhaps more fit for a Noldo. The ears, if you pardon the word, seem to me quite ridiculous. Although I cannot quote the passage by page number, there is a chapter in Fellowhip of the ring Book I in which Frodo is leaving the Shire and meets with Gildor and his company in the woods. The text relates that what set them apart was the sound of their voices, along with a sense of light shining from within them. You would have thought if they had extremely long, shrew-like ears that it would be mentioned in the description. It would be refreshing to see someone attempt to do a painting of elves without the immensely fanciful ears and focus rather on a serenity of bearing and visage.

@Turin_Returns -- this one was actually derived from a character in a computer game where "ridiculous" ears are commonplace on elf characters, rather than a written passage from Tolkien's works. All the same your feedback is appreciated, if not the tone, and I have to say I am looking forward to seeing -your- renditions of authentic elves without ridiculous ears in the galleries here. :)
