Description
One can only imagine the history behind these walls. What a magnificent and beautiful old home. The workmanship just leaves me breathless. This is about 10 blocks from me. Alex took this photo last year, since then its been boarded up and is slated for demolition, or so I have been told. You all know how I feel about these things so I will spare you that this time:-) Rather I would say, look at the details, and enjoy the view, it won't pass this way again...
Thanks for looking and for previous comments, also for well wishes sent to my daughter. Note: I did not receive one single ebot yesterday either for comments or my fav artists. I sure hope thats fixed soon!

You're sure right. This is a magic house. Pack it up & send it over here. I'll put it down by the beach. At least it is captured.
Beautiful architecture and detail, Its a shame beautiful old home's like this can't be saved, thanks for sharing!!!
What a beautiful home and it's obvious the love and workmanship that went into it was way above today's standards. I totally agree with you Lynn. It is just so sad and how I'd love to salvage and restore it. Well, maybe when I win the lottery! Great capture anyway.
THIS MUST HAVE BEEN A GORGEOUS HOME..IS THERE A WAY YOU CAN FIND WHEN IT WAS BUILT? MAYBE SOME ONE IN HISTORY LIVED THERE..:o)
So sad that it has to be demolished Lynn.... Looks like it once was a glamorous place full of joy and laughter!!! Hugs, Carin xx
Yep, it's always nice to think of days gone by, this is a great photo. Tony :-)
very interesting building
a gorgeous structure and you captured its details beautifully, excellent work my friend !!
Wonderful photo!!! :)
Very beautiful photo.
Marvellous building! so glad you got a record of it!
What a beautiful house! How could anyone do something so cruel and wreck it down...? It holds such history, you can tell, and the work on it... WOW, it just shows you how shallow human's really are. >:( Great shot however to Alex, adn well done both of you! :)
Excellent, great subject, well done..
the house is really wonderful, especially the mansard. a good architectural landmark. too bad it should also be pulled down.
They're altogether spooky! the Addams Family: )
What a fantastic place! Get plenty of shot of this before it's gone forever.
It belongs to history ! Great building with stunning architecture
a lot of work went into the design and construction of this home.there are some here very similar.excellent capture Lyyne
I agree with you and everyone else on this piece. I would have titled it "History Lost" cause thats what it is. Not only the history of this house and the families that lived in it but even after its abandonment the childrien that may have thought it haunted ... smiling brightly as I think of the house down the street from my school and the stories we use to tell bout it. Structures like that should become land marks Excellent work of historic preservation
Very nice house! love that kind of houses they're very beautiful, thank you for this great picture :D Regards. 5 stars!
I love old houses, and Victorian architecture in particular. The ironwork and scrollwork on this house are spectacular! I wish I could tour this place and record its details for posterity. What a shame that it is slated for the wrecking ball.
