Description
This is part of a number of pictures I did illustrating the Grimm fairy tales. Thanks for all the comment on my previous stuff.
This picture is one of my own personal favourites, but it also reminds me that at all times we are potentially surrounded by ruthless and mean-spirited people... and in some ways the picture portrays that treachery in visual terms.

A fascinating render: the owl reminds the viewer to read the book:) she could be the guardian of a holy story, too... 5 stars
Excellent composistion and lighting, very well done...
cute .......
I love the render Peter. But unfortunately i don't know the Grimm fairy tales. Maybe i should learn. The shine from the candle is a nice touch. It provide a certain mood to the render. But it is a master piece for sure. Your love for every little detail always shine throughout your work. That is the reason everything you do is a masterpiece. And a most important fact imo. too... your work always have a story to it.
Thanks Lars. You may notice that this picture was one of the ones that was down-rated. It's not unpopular either with 40 favourites out of 100 rating. Nevertheless some people saw it's chances of getting into the rating chart and stopped it. I never asked for this one to be investigated, but I kept tabs on it and I know who some of the down-raters are. This picture is one of my own personal favourites, but it also reminds me that at all times we are surrounded by ruthless and mean-spirited people... and in some ways the picture portrays that treachery in visual terms.
Wow Very beautiful, superb work!!
