Description
This was taken about a year ago at a park within walking distance of my house, after a rare snowstorm. I loved the stillness of the water; the resident Canada Geese normally make sure it has at least some movement, but they were hiding on this night trying to stay warm, just like everyone else.
The camera was totally fooled by the mercury vapor lights, but I liked the color cast better than the corrected version, so I left it like this. It seems warmer the way it is.
Thanks for stopping by and any comments.

wow, gorgeous photo, beautiful reflections and tone
Fantastic work.
It is an awesome photo Cosine! Had it not been so cold, I bet many a couple would be out there getting all romantic like hehe Beautiful capture!
beautiful reflections...
This is so calm and peaceful looking. And those reflections are top rate! What a wonderful picture of a cold but beautiful scene. I'm glad your camera was fooled, it really adds to the ambiance.
A peaceful place... Very nice. Aloha
Excellent shot. The lighting looks like some of the Australian Summer sunsets when there's bush fires around. Lol wouldn't think it was in the middle of Winter.
perfect shot, excellent reflections. Great work

Oh my! This is really a beautiful photo. The perfect reflections, the lighting, and the soft color is 'picture perfect'.
Beautiful shot Dennis! I like the warm color cast and that reflection is magnificent. Bravo for being able to get this kind of night shot!
What a beautiful clear, still night! I, too, love that warm color in contrast to the snow. I especially like the snow covered evergreen tree at the left of the building.
How serene. Well done.
EXCELLENT CAPTURE & REFLECTIONS !!!!!
So stellar! This is awesomely clean and crips. Great shot.
A perfectly calm day. Love the reflection on the water Dennis, they almost look too good to be true. I like the warm hue the mercury vapor lights created, Sig....
Ohhhhh ... how beautiful! I agree with you about the lights. The cold snow and the warm lighting makes for a wonderful combination. Full view at 125% fills my monitor perfectly, and it's like being there. * sigh * Very relaxing. Very nice.
It looks as if time is standing still, so peacefully!!!! perfect!!
