Description
The Ultraprobe explores a mysterious graveyard of derelict alien vessels, unable to detect the terrible menace which lurks at it's centre.
Before there was Alien there was Dragon's Domain. From the first season of Space: 1999, this episode is widely regarded as the most frightening hour of television ever aired. I certainly had nightmares for a long time afterwards and still find certain scenes chilling to this day.
Most honourable mentions go to the following artists for their wonderful free creations:
R.J. Andron (www.motiondigital.com/mba) for the Light Wave model of the Ultraprobe. Fabulous work, I hope I did her justice.
Stonemason for the Sky Traffic, Floater Bot and Cylinder001.

true sci-fi... a space scene.. got to have them.. and this is great... and yup.. I'm old enough to remember Space: 1999 as well.
This must have been on TV during my non tv era.I didn't watch from the early 90's until 2004. And, now only watch discovery, national geo,and sience channels,TLC,and the food network. Awesome space scene tho.
So kewl!!!!!!!!!! I love the deep space and you captured it so well!

cool scifi!
I remember the show quite well. The end of the 70's and early 80's were quite a time for space movies and TV shows and Space: 1999 was one that I had to be pulled away from the TV literally by my family in order for me to miss it. Although, I have to be honest and say I cannot remember hardly any of the episodes the opening of the show is a clip of TV history that will probably be eched in my mind until my memory no longer exists. Cool render!
What a super render ... I love the composition, the lighting and sense of mystery. Well done!

Wonderful space scene! Beautifully done!
To paraphrase the dialogue between Koenig and Bergman. 'What does it look like, apart from the obvious?' :-) One of my favourite episodes of the series. A nice slice of nostalgia and superbly rendered. Make sure you take a strong rope! Excellent work.
