This was sad news.
A lot of people enjoyed that place, with all the images, chats, tips, advices, freebies that were posted.
And the HW3D store has moved here at Renderosity quite a long time ago.
So I thought: why not having here a forum thread about Hivewire, where people that used those HW3D forums can still meet and keep in touch?
This is just a humble try...
If it will work, it will be very nice to not lose those contacts.
On the other hand, if this thread will not be used, well, no problem, it was worth trying anyway!
Therefore, I hope to see around here some HW3D forums "veterans", and, who knows, maybe some new faces as well :-)

Mine was intended as a place where people could post what they would have done over at the Hive. Things like Flint's beautiful renders, Stezza Carrara renders and just chat about anything that struck. A lounge where we could congregate.

I don't see a reason why we can't have two threads.  My thoughts would be to possibly use  them for two purposes.  Perhaps one for general discussion, and one for posting projects and images, and resources.

While a sub-forum would have been great, I am dubious if Renderosity would do that.  If someone with more clout than I wants to inquire, the worst they could do is say no.

I checked just before posting this, and the Hivewire3D forums are no more.  I was hoping they might be in a read-only state, but the address is unreachable completely.

There's nothing wrong with you having multiple threads. Have as many as you need. 

As far as a sub-forum, that's above my pay grade, but it would depend on how active you all are.

I have bought a few things from HW3D on this site as have many others,

so a dedicated forum is not an unreasonable ask IMO

there are forums for non Renderosity softwares etc after all

no real reason any vendor couldn't have a forum then

I thought I had an account over there (Fantasies Attic), but it seems not.  I usually browse the freebies at Halloween and Christmas times, but I guess you don't need to be logged in to get those.  I have an account at pfdlives.com, but they seem to have died.  Haven't had a notice of a new post in ages.

I haven't vanished, just busy with issues in my life.  I've never been very active here.

I don't feel like creating any more accounts anywhere.

@DanaTA  PFD died due to lack of traffic a month or so ago. Earlier in the year I was visiting and it was like a ghost town.

Still haven't gotten the email confirmation.

Finally found it and got set up!  User error...got two emails, only looked at one because often two right in a row are accidental duplicates.  Oh, well.

I remember seeing, a while back, something about pdflives.com closing down.

The  content is the same as before. The images are better here, because the Hivewire forums page was preventing them from opening up.
I just updated the links to not have broken ones and I immediately have to notice that Dawn and Dusk SE are not anymore in the Hivewire store.

I think they are included with Poser now.  Or they were for Poser11.
