Im trying to deform a plane to get a ring. The problem is: I dont see any deform tool to get the shape I need. The reason becouse I need to use a plane is becouse I have a shader with mask option and it works fine with planes but not with cylinders. When I apply the shader to a cylinder the map overlap on the ends, and I cant make it fit.

The form I need is in the image

Try creating a vertex object, and use the UV mapping to correct the map on it. If you're on version 3 that is. If not then use the, (included on your disk,) UV Mapper program to do the UV mapping. Hope this helps! :>

Cylinder should map o.k. - square or rectangle in the middle, circles on top and bottom. Just make sure the texture for the circumference of the cylinder doesn't encroach on the two end caps.
