Wind over my face,
silences like prayers for peace...
Will our hearts keep their promises,
made today among seable tears?
Or will time running erase the words,
the unsaid ones too,
that we all seem to believe
in these days of sudden despare?
All I know is that mankind wants love...
All I ever felt is that we can be
brothers and sisters
cos we all just want to live...
So here's my hand,
I show you my heart with smile sincere...
Take it,
and let's walk together:
I see no colours,
I see every colour
as part of the rainbow of life:
our languages are one just in the end,
and we have to start singin together
for a new era of understanding,
learning how to make respect growing,
like perfumed flowers that will break
weapons of hate among us.

Hi everyone!
I am publishing this picture formerly titled "Running Tracks Meli" and given past year to Synapse for a postwork (that still be in my living room as beloved gift from him) to send you all some salutation for the incoming 2 months.
Like some of you might know from my site blog, I have been in Rome during the past week for Pope's celebrations and funerals. The apartment Stef had when in Rome workin was just aside Vatican, yes,in that road where every television showed queing of hundreds thousands people past days. We couldn't miss the chance.
Well, I haven't lived that as "religious fanatism". Nor I had taken pics.. why take them?Images hardly could explain the atmosphere of soul that deeply, especially in such a moment of thoughts belongin to merely heart.
I personally tried to live everything like a soulful moment. Silence, and reflections.
I met people from the world. There were non religious people there, I met muslims and jewish genuinely touched by the event and by the man.
Like I wrote in the blog, I wasn't agreeing with all the former Pope did: I found his vision about women and sex belonging to Middle age. But I admired his constant, unbreakable, totally spiritual and true wish for peace, tolerance and communication among peole like an extraordinary sign of greatness, especially in bad times of religious fanatisms from every side. I wrote all in my blog, so I won't repeat myself here about the matter.. if you want know more, read in there more :).
What I want you to know is that I have made up my mind in the past days and I want to spend some times these incoming months doing real things for kids. A volunteer trial, something that won't be made with religious associations, but something anyway mattering, hopefully for the kids first.
Therefore, for a couple of months I won't draw nor paint. I'll try to paint "making life worthwhile" for others. You can write me mails, I won't be totally absent from internet , I just give up my artistic hobbies for 60 or 70 days, I am sure you all understand me fully.
I'm gonna miss your art, but I am sure when I get back here I will see everything with eyes new and a heart more pulsing in the right chord. And art vision will shine even more, I am sure :)
Take care everyone :)
See you soon, and don't forget to write me mails in the maintime. :)
Luv Luv Luv :) Your Meli :)

Dear dear Meli!! I remember this image... beautiful you are, inside & out... your words just as much... I can only imagine the feeling generated being there in person & your gift of volunteering truly admirable... you are special & I wish you well on your journey... much luv to you sweetheart & ps!!!!!! HAVE a FaBuLoUs BIRTHDAY coming up soon!!!!!!!!! XOXO!! :]
Hi hon hugs :-) I've always loved this shot, I know the setting and time are different here but it sends me straight back to travelling back from Milan on the bus with you, watching you sleep :-) Like Cassie I've been thinking of you more than usual of late with the Pope's passing, and wondered if you'd be there somewhere in the huge crowds. My thoughts about him are similar to yours... I didn't like his opposition to women's rights and contraception, but still one has to have some respect for a religious leader who was at the same time a truly spiritual person. Not all are so! Your beautiful poem shows your spirituality: in the end everyone is equal regardless of who they are, what they've done or what they've achieved, for we're all shaped by a plethora of factors along the road of life. I'm proud of you for your decision to do voluntary work in the months ahead, what a rewarding way of spending your time! I'm gonna check out your blog page again and check up on anything I missed... and I haven't forgotten your birthday on Sunday ;-) xxxxxxxxxx
Well, I think you would do more showing your artwork amongst the thousands here, beit adult or children your artwork speaks for its self. You do more voluntary work every day here in your artwork yet you think its just for yourself but, more people get relief from your work than any physical touch to a child......keep your artwork going and save all our thanks with you. Sounds selfish but we need you. Whatever you decide, I'll still be here waiting for your art :)
Lovely thoughtful expression --fine photo --and a beautiful subject !! excellent written update too !
i say: que viva mexico!
Hey sweet angel, so nice to hear from u! :) I don't have much time for mails at the moment as I can barely cope with all the stuff I have to do and such but u're always in my thoughts!! I hope u're going to have fun in whatever u choose to do! I send u all my love sweety-pie! Huge hugs to the both of u! :)
how beautiful!!!
Lovely woman and lovely words. I wish you nothing but happiness dear Meli. May you be renewed by your efforts. There are many ways of sharing "art" and spreading that to today's youth is right at the top of the list. Way to go girl!
To me the pope didn't really communicate more than "blrrrb ugh huuu brugh", plus I agree with you about his conservative point of views concerning sex, women, aids and gay people plus euthanasia etc. The pope is dead and he should be, since he was just a sack of potatoes wearing pope clothes :p
B E A U T I F U L !
J'adore cet autoportrait.
What can I say Meli....MUUUUAH...You are a true vision of lovliness!! :) I wish you much luck on your endeavors!! Take Care Dear!!! Hugs
Cool photo. I like the blurred background, and esp. the main subject. This brings back cool memories of the photo of you that I modified. Take care/Peace :-)
Wonderful!! You bare your soul for all to enjoy. Very powerful piece, such raw emotion and passion!!
Meli, It's hard to say which is best, a fantastic photo, poem, or your strong resolve! To be admired all. You've got a lot to teach. I bet you and the kids have a great time and learn a lot. [Why not teach them how to draw, join and upload!] I'll be happy to see your drawings when you want to take the time, even if I have to wait 99 days.
a wonderful selfportrait, i like your dreamy expression.great mood of static, motion and thoughts. i dont know why, but i know your face since a long time ( sorry cant express this in english exactly ). #:O)
