Description
*It's here again:
the day devoted to all my scaring doubts,
the day when everything has the shape
of a misleadin demon ready to eat me out.
It's here, and I do tremble on my unstable legs,
I'd rather pass today like corpse in my own bed...
But I have to move,
even if I have no idea how to surface
out from my fears,
out of my mistrusts.
The door of this room is like the end of a tunnel,
an eye of black cat with just dim light out of its pupil:
but I do wanna fight
and reach my balance back...
I know I'm maybe falling,
but there's no other way round there.
For all I wanna say,
for all I wanna be
there are 1 million more
of days just like this:
but for all I wanna say,
and for all I wanna be,
there's just one choice to take,
and it's to fight the fear.*

Photoshop, 4 layers, 1 hour work from these sources of mine.
---------------------------------
When I firstly created the image for "Balance Of My Day" I tried to find a model for the idea I had in mind to illustrate it, but nothing seemed to fit the plan as I would have loved so I just decided to draw in photoshop, this image you can see here as alpha version.
But this poem was too personal to let an unpersonal image fits the memory I still have of "those kind of bad days". And so I created again a Beta version of the image, that I present you now.
It's what I had in mind since the start for this poem. I think it's an image that stays within my head since 96, when I actually wrote that poem. Now I think fears have definitely faded out.
But no one can really predict the future, so this image stays as image of what I don't wanna feel like anymore.
Enjoy ;)

Very expressive image and words... Bravissima!!
You keep breaking boundaries all the time! Excellent composition and display of the figure! Superb work Meli!! :P
I would like to be more friendly with English (in order to be able to fully appreciate this) but I think I've got enough skill in this language to recognize a real poetry talent... Congrats Melania, this is cool...
Superb composition! Great work!
oh my, I so love your poem...the scene is great to illustrate it, but I guess I would love to cut the body from the right part - the scene is almost simetrical with it, and I think that entrance is perfect to fill that part - what do you say? :) Congrats, anyway! V Hugs
Beautifully image and compo...bravo!!!:o)

Very Nice!
Rate: Excellent+++. My dear friend, it's amazing how I find myself in your words. amazing how it seems like you write them from my own core.
Alpha and beta are night and day. Each has something to say and brings a different illumination to this poem. I prefer the beta, though Two things to consider: the bright splash of light colors in the right of the image seems to pull on my eyes too much, perhaps you should consider toning it down? Also, the large line drawing at the bottom I would love to see a glow around it and, perhaps, a hint of a ghostly quality? As always, my friend, your work makes me think (and I also know those days mostly behind me, but never far from memory). ;-)
Absolutely wonderful composition... Everything is mixed perfectly! Great work!
Una versione che intensamente parla di te.
It makes me think of Coyote Ugly =;)
