🖤8 𝐽𝑎ℎ𝑟𝑒. 𝐵𝑙𝑒𝑐ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑛𝑒 𝐻𝑜𝑐ℎ𝑧𝑒𝑖𝑡. Wir haben uns nicht gesucht. Wir sind eher übereinander gestolpert. Eigentlich wollte ich damals nur jemanden, der ein paar Fotos von mir mit Feuer im Schnee macht. Die Feuerbilder habe ich bis heute nicht. Dafür hatte ich irgendwann einen Mann, eine Kamera und ein ziemlich anderes Leben als vorher. Und wie so oft bei uns ging danach manches ein bisschen schneller als vorgesehen. Acht Jahre später ist vom Zauber dieser ziemlich verrückten Anfangszeit tatsächlich noch einiges übrig. Er sieht heute vielleicht ein bisschen anders aus. Weniger Feuerwerk, mehr Vertrautheit. Weniger Schmetterlinge, dafür das ziemlich schöne Wissen, dass da jemand ist, mit dem man das Leben gern teilt. Glücklich ist man nicht immer. Man findet sich auch nicht jeden Tag großartig. Und manchmal besteht Liebe vermutlich schon darin, zu wissen, wann man besser einen Kaffee macht und den anderen einfach in Ruhe lässt. 😄 Was trägt, sind für mich andere Dinge: Respekt, Geduld, Wohlwollen und das Wissen, dass wir im selben Team spielen. Nicht gegeneinander kämpfen, sondern einander unterstützen. Auch dann, wenn einer gerade ein bisschen schwerer zu ertragen ist. Wobei ich der Fairness halber erwähnen sollte, dass Geduld und Diplomatie in unserer Ehe etwas ungleich verteilt sind. Michael hat eindeutig die tragfähigere Ausstattung erwischt. 😉 Vielleicht ist genau das unser Glück: nicht immer glücklich sein zu müssen und trotzdem gern miteinander hier zu sein. Nicht gesucht und doch gefunden. Übereinander gestolpert und geblieben. Und weil zur blechernen Hochzeit angeblich Blech gehört, haben wir uns für Schwarz, Rot und reichlich Gold entschieden. Traditionen darf man schließlich weiterentwickeln. 🖤 𝐴𝑢𝑓 𝑢𝑛𝑠.

😊 🖤 8 𝑦𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑠. 𝑂𝑢𝑟 𝑡𝑖𝑛 𝑤𝑒𝑑𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑎𝑛𝑛𝑖𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑠𝑎𝑟𝑦. We weren’t looking for each other. We more or less stumbled into one another. Back then, all I really wanted was someone to take a few photos of me with fire in the snow. I still don’t have those fire photos. Instead, at some point, I had a husband, a camera, and a life that looked rather different from the one I’d had before. And, as so often with us, some things moved a little faster than planned after that. Eight years later, quite a bit of the magic from those wonderfully crazy beginnings is still there. It may look a little different today. Less fireworks, more familiarity. Fewer butterflies, but instead the rather lovely certainty that there is someone you genuinely enjoy sharing your life with. You’re not always happy. You don’t think the other person is wonderful every single day either. And sometimes love probably consists simply of knowing when it’s better to make a coffee and leave the other person alone for a while. 😄 For me, what really carries us are other things: respect, patience, goodwill, and knowing that we’re on the same team. Not fighting against each other, but supporting one another. Even when one of us is being a little harder to put up with. Although, in the interest of fairness, I should mention that patience and diplomacy are distributed somewhat unevenly in our marriage. Michael definitely got the more generous share. 😉 Maybe that is exactly our kind of happiness: not having to be happy all the time and still being glad to be here together. We weren’t looking, but we found each other. We stumbled into one another and stayed. And since a tin wedding anniversary apparently calls for a bit of metal, we went with black, red, and plenty of gold. Traditions are allowed to evolve, after all. 🖤 𝐻𝑒𝑟𝑒’𝑠 𝑡𝑜 𝑢𝑠.
