Finda habe ich nicht erfunden, um eine Aufgabe zu erfรผllen, sondern ich habe sie kรผrzlich auf meiner Website entdeckt. Ausgerechnet auf der Seite โLinksโ hatte sie es sich gemรผtlich gemacht. Ich fand sie ganz sympathisch und habe sie zunรคchst gewรคhren lassen.
Schnell stellte sich heraus, dass sie eine ausgesprochene Sammelleidenschaft hat: Geschichten, Ideen, interessante Menschen, Orte, Spuren von Kreativitรคt und offenbar alles andere, was ihr unterwegs bemerkenswert erscheint, sucht sie sich zusammen. Sie sieht sich wohl als eine Art Sachensucherin, ganz im Pippi-Langstrumpf-Stil.
Da musste ich schon schmunzeln, denn ๐ genau dieses Suchen, Finden, Aufheben und spรคter vielleicht vรถllig unerwartete Verwenden von Dingen, Themen und Geschichten gehรถrt durchaus zu meiner eigenen kreativen Arbeitsweise.
โSchwestern im Sammelnโ sozusagen, dachte ich mir zumindest. Einstweilen lรคsst sie mich in diesem Glauben. Mal sehen, was dabei fรผr mich rausspringt โฆ
Als vorlรคufiges Abkommen habe ich sie erst einmal zur โSachensucherin in Ausbildungโ ernannt.
Und weil Finda ausgerechnet auf meiner Seite โLinksโ aufgetaucht ist und dort offenbar nicht nur Links, sondern auch allerlei Fundstรผcke zusammentragen mรถchte, hat die Seite inzwischen einen neuen Namen bekommen: Links & Fundstรผcke Finda hat also kaum Einzug gehalten und schon die Website umgebaut. Das kann ja heiter werden. ๐

Of all places, she had made herself comfortable on the โLinksโ page. I thought she seemed rather likeable, so for the time being, I let her stay. It soon became clear that she has quite a passion for collecting. Stories, ideas, interesting people, places, traces of creativity and apparently anything else she happens to find remarkable along the way. She seems to think of herself as a kind of *thing-finder*, very much in the spirit of Pippi Longstocking. That made me smile because ๐ this very habit of searching, finding, keeping things and perhaps using them much later in completely unexpected ways is very much part of my own creative process. โSisters in collecting,โ so to speak. Or at least thatโs what I thought. For the time being, sheโs letting me believe it. Letโs see whatโs in it for me โฆ As a provisional agreement, Iโve appointed her "Thing-Finder in Training.โ And since Finda appeared on my โLinksโ page of all places and apparently intends to collect not only links but all sorts of little finds there as well, the page has since been given a new name: Links & Finds So Finda has barely moved in and sheโs already redesigned the website. This could get interesting. ๐

Pippi Longstocking! That's a thing I haven't heard of in a long while. There used to be a show on TV I'd watch when I was home sick. It beat game shows.
I loved Pippi as a child too. And apparently, I picked up a little something from her along the way โ Iโm still a bit of a thing-finder myself. ๐
Seems like Heidi never became very popular there.
I never got a chance to meet her but in the 1970's my mother and Heidi became best friends. Every time my mom visited Europe she would stop by her lovely house for a visit. Decades later I digitized some of her songs from her records that she gave us.
