Hello dear friends,
These are 2 fractals both made with Apophysis.
I've been playing around with it a bit in my 'antique' version of Paint Shop Pro.

It's great to see you here again. And with such beautiful work. Helle also had an "antique" version of Paint Shop Pro. I guess the old version must be incredible, lol...This is stunning., Jacomina Your blues, reds and yellows are deep and saturated, and they jump off the screen.
YOu also have deep crimsons (on the right side) which look like you splashed them on a canvas. (Jackson Pollock, the 20th Century abstract painter, made splashes like this...he made a whole career from splashes). I love the way you did that.
And you have some rich oranges too.
And then the center is a huge rolling fractal snail (slak?), or maybe some other creature...But it's rolling along, having a great time, and lightiing the whole world as it travels...
The background is a faded set of greens and olive tones, and dark yellows, etc, all mingling in the background, like they're having private conversations. Actually, they look like transparent sheets, piled on top of each other. They make a fine contrast to the bold, bold 'creature' in the center, who's rolling to his or her destination somewhere outside of the frame.
And then---a coiled thing on the bottom---some coiled het een of ander (or dinges) that decided to wind its way into the image, and say hello to the snail. This is a fun and joyous image, to my eyes, of a bold creature rolling its way across a landscape...and all kinds of splashes, layers, and torn fragments, with a gigantic fractal oefening drilling its way into the image, to tell the big creature in the center that it forgot its keys (or its wallet); or to tell it it has a phone call, and it better get home soon. Beautiful colors and textures. A real delight!
(Here's a link to one of jackson pollock's typical paintings: The master of "Vlek" (or Klad, or Vlekje). I used to call him the "Splotch Master". (Splotch - Vlek.) And i can't believe I'm the only person commenting on this! I should send out announcements---"A new masterpiece from Jacomina! Wachet Auf!"

Unfortunately, every time something happens that throws all my plans into disarray. Now I have to go to the dentist, really quickly, quickly. I hope I'll still be alive when I get back home, lol! Hopefully with all the teeth still available.
