I tend to be sentimental and have often found it hard to leave some toys behind, even though I know, I should have, Most of my favorite toys, my daughter now has and who knows, perhaps the chain will continue and she will pass it on to another kid that will enjoy it as much as we both once did! Great looking scene that brings back memories of yesterday. :)

Yes, there are some things you’re reluctant to part with. But it’s a lovely thought—toys staying in the family for two or three generations. I just worry that kids these days won't find anything interesting unless it runs on batteries...

Danke dir, Krid. Ja, ich glaub. Das Gefühl kennt jeder. ich hab mal fast geheult als ich meine alte Lederjacke endlich entsorgt habe. Aber die wer mir da schon gut drei Nummern zu klein und das Futter bestand nur noch aus Polyersterfäden und Staub. Aber verdammt, mit der Jacke hatte ich so viel erlebt... es war als ob m,en einen alten Freund entsorgt :D

I don't know if this is "urban" but it's close. And my point is, you do scenes in urban settings that have real mystery...and some have sweetness and some have sadness, and some have both. This has both. Very evocative.

This is poignant. Esp with the label "for free". To the girl---if she's even the one who left the toys there---it's maybe a moment of curiosity. Whoever left them, it was a touching connection to childhood. If it's the girl, you gave her the perfect pose.

As in a number of your pieces, you don't give answers, just suggestions. And that makes them all the richer. We're not sure the girl left those toys: You might have created a chance encounter between her and the toys. And in this urban setting, it's like two lives colliding for a moment, then moving on. If she IS the owner of the toys, they'll make a chance encounter for someone else. Very poignantly done.

Thank you. Yes, I imagined what it would be like for a young girl who feels she’s outgrown her toys but, instead of just throwing them away, tries to find her old friends a new home. I’m glad that moment really touched you.
