A tough decision between the two renders. I would go with the horror element in your first image; the second image is a typical full-body portrait, which would need depth of field and backlighting to separate the model from the background.

Both are good and I prefer the 2nd render as it lets you focus on your character more. Excellent creations and great play with both :)
