Description
It is the morning after Lilja Darkstar's abduction from the Darkstar manor and we find Fat Bob and Sonja Steelsinger rattling through the streets of New Babbage and headed for the manor. They have no idea that Lilja has been abducted by a pair of sky pirates with the connivance of the head maid clank whose thinking function has been contaminated.
"Ehm. Ehm. It rankles me like teh 'ave you drivin' teh buggy, Miss Steelsinger." The big clank ordinarily acted as a chauffeur of sorts.
" 'tis my desire teh arrive in a single piece, Bob. Yer drivin' is brisk but too adventurous fer me and certainly fer teh likes o' teh new guvnor. She's a lady of a certain!" Sonja skillfully guided the steam buggy around a paused omnibus picking up passengers and then slowed as she eyed a negligent male pedestrian.
"Ehm. Ehm. Yer timid pace'll make us late, Miss Steelsinger!" Bob complained.
Molly's art notes: Set up and rendered with Poser 12.0.757 and tweaked a bit in Photoshop. Fat Bob is by Simon-3D, Sonja Steelsinger is based on La Femme with modifications by Afrodite-Ohki. Throughout the picture are characters based on V3, L'Homme, Poser Dork and others legacy figures. The setting is by BlueTreeStudios.

there's actually steam in a steampunk scene! ;) I like those vehicles and the way the people in the street (and on high) look like they belong there; they are moving/living beings not models standing stiff like a prop. well done!
Thank you! I took a lot of time adding some background people and I'm always thinking about how to pose them to avoid the mannequin look that you describe. =) The steam is kind of fun as it's a prop from a Michael C product and part of the rendering not postwork.

Wooohoo! That's ma' girl!
I expected you make the starship but didn't expect you reach Mars, set a collony and return safe home.
Mind-blowing brilliant unbelievable fabulous awesome, Magnificent Masterpiece of Finest Arts. I love you!😊💖🥰
Your comment is a lot of fun to read, Marius! Thank you! =)

Have I said anything stupid, ridiculous or both?
I wasn't meant to say anything inappropriate, actually all I meant to say is, I was thrilled by your amazing creativity and brilliance.
Oh you did fine, Marius. I understood you to mean that you liked the picture! =)
Molly
Excellent scene as always! Babbage - I've been thinking about him lately. Love Steampunk street. Interesting story I look forward to reading more!
Thank you, Annie. I have so many stories I've started and have yet to finish! I thought I'd like to get back to Lilja's story a bit but I will eventually finish them all (I hope). XD
Molly
Huh, thanks.., luv ya!😊💖🥰
Super job on this!!
Thank you! I've been letting Lilja's story linger too long without an update. =)
Molly
so amazing of a scene filled with things to see. great steam work on the vehicle.
Thank you! Regarding the steam, it's a prop from one of Michael C's steam craft and not postwork. I think it came out great! =)
Molly
Cool Steam-punk street scene!
Thank you so much, my dear! I do loves me some Steampunk! XD
Molly
Marvellously engaging scene.... and marvellously bonkers plot, which like the best storytelling, keeps you wanting more!
Heh. Well, I knew where I was going with this (believe it or not) but needed a bit of a break after the sky pirates abducted the heroine. We'll see if I can get a bit further! XD
Molly
A great image, and fun conversation here! This is really well done, Molly!

Molly
A fine conversation this pair is having in the steam mobile! Love the steampunkiness of this image! Most delightful details and wonderful story telling! A many many fine kudos from me to you on this one and of course all your magnificent art works that grace the halls of renderosity!
You're so sweet! <3
I'm always loving me some steampunk and it's about time I got back to Lilja's story. =)
Molly
Poor Bob, so anxious to get there faster (and probably also anxious not to be the one driving)! Love all the steampunk elements and activity in the scene, and kudos for finding a use for the old Poser dog!
Heh. Thanks, Amy. Those old legacy objects are great for scene filler, good eye to place it! =) I was going to add a few more people and perhaps a cat but got a bit impatient to post. The scene by BlueTreeStudios begs to be inhabited.
