The planet's inhabitants, the Loik, were strange but not unfriendly. Communication was difficult but through signs and images drawn in the dirt they made it clear to her she could meet the most important person on the planet. They resisted all her attempts to bring her technology and only allowed her to carry one of their primitive lanterns on a staff. Deep within the tunnels underlying the Loik city, she met their Goddess. She played the dim lantern light across the suspended, inert body of a huge humanoid. "Is it a power source?" She wondered. "Or something else..." Molly's art notes: Rendered with Poser 12.0.757 on my little Surface laptop as I am on the road for a vacation with my son's family. Tweaked it a bit with Photoshop running on the same limited hardware. I have some vague ideas for stories about the planetary explorer and the Loik but I don't know that I'll ever get around to them.

wow, this is really fascinating!

Thank you! It was a bit problematic with the moderators due to the large humanoid in restraint but I believe it passed muster because it is content being sold in the market place and is being used unmodified. I really liked how I could use the lit, emissive components as part of the scene lighting. The Loiks are perfect little aliens for it.

I love the Loiks' "worshipful" poses! Adds a nice touch of humor to this sci-fi scene and definitely opens up some questions as to how this became their goddess!!

I'm glad to know I didn't dream this image ;-)

The moderators locked it and took their own sweet time deciding that it was not in violation of the TOS. Someone in that group really takes the definition of restraint and BDSM (which violate the TOS) seriously. I'm glad the eventual decision seems to admit that if I can buy it on the market place and I use it unmodified in my attempts at art it's within TOS. >.<

The Loik posing is just a slight tweak of Nursoda's included poses. It's a very unusual character (as is much of Nursoda's lovely, idiosyncratic work) and so much is included with the content package.

Thanks for commenting, Amy, I always enjoy hearing from you. Now that I am back home from travelling with my son's family I have so much to catch up with so I expect you'll be seeing comments from me.XD

The content from 1971s really spoke to me here. I'm glad you enjoyed it! =)

Vicious fate for the Goddess, those Loiks are so cute and such great poses, expressions, all looks great.
Superb composition, great atmosphere and lighting, wonderful FX, brilliant render.
Magnificent Masterpiece of Finest Arts. I love it!

Thanks, Marius. It was all inspired by 1971s' content. =)

Classic Molly - it all works and grabs the viewer/reader's attention. Guessing that's the idea...)

Thanks JD. When I saw 1971s' content I had to make a picture and of course, I had to make a bit of a story. I like all the characters so I suppose I'm not done with them. =)
