We apparently live in an era of powerful bullies, who confuse their rough-and-ready and intimidating tactics with statesmanship. Having aided his dictator pals in Syria and annexed the Crimea, the greatest leader since Peter the Great is on to another conquest to restore Russian prestige and greatness on the world stage.

I suspect that you have accurately described Vlad's deepest impulse: a misguided quest to be a "great" man. The world is not better for it. Thank you for your comment.

Thank you for sharing that sentiment, RT. I'd add that I feel bad for the families of Russian soldiers who are killed or wounded. No matter the outcome there are so many who are hurt by War. The guys who drive such conflict aren't usually the ones who pay such a cruel price. It can't end well as the killing has begun but I agree that there is hope it can end soon.

This should be a wake-up call for Western Civilization. Since this invasion that same "leadership" has also allowed the Iranian regime to build a nuclear weapon. So you have nothing to apologize for when making a public statement about this shameful and dangerous state of affairs.
