Description
According to the Villains' Wiki for Final Fantasy:
"Scarlet is a supporting antagonist in Final Fantasy VII, who also appears in the prequel Before Crisis Final Fantasy VII. She is the Head of Weapons Development in the Shinra Electric Power Company. She is a middle-aged, enchanting woman in a long red dress revealing her cleavage, and has blonde hair tied into a bun. She wears black stockings with heels and around her chest she wears a necklace with a sparkling green pendant."
Molly's art notes: Set up and rendered in Poser 12.0.757 and then tweaked in Photoshop. The character and clothing are by --Wartech-- with tweaks by teh Mollz (who is not happy with the stockings but threw in the towel as perfect is the enemy of good enough >.<). The industrial setting is "the Fear Factory" by Vanishing Point.
Disclaimer: This is fan art from which I earn nothing. I am not really familiar with the game and character which is owned by Square Enix among others. I do like the character's appearance and was moved to feature her in a picture.

I really do like that dress and am thinking of tweaking it a bit to use as a Steampunk costume on another character. Indeed, it doesn't matter where you are when you dress like that! ;P

Very lovely character, great outfit....i use to play this game...hundreds of hours invested... but before reading your description...i would have said... Miss Scarlett in the conservatory with the Revolver...!!...always a pleasure to view your images...

Beautiful portrait! Something about her face reminds me of Gillian Anderson, but only vaguely. I love her "I own this place" pose!
Dang! Now that I look at it there is a bit of Gillian Anderson there. Maybe the smile? I messed with the pose and the expression quite a bit trying to get a feeling of confidence. Thanks for taking a moment to leave me such a fun comment!

She looks fantastic, Molly. I'm not much of a gamer, so I'm not overly familiar with the character, but she does have a fascinating look to her. Well done.
Stockings are a major PITA - I can never get them skin tight as they should be even with the morph brush. I've been known to just paint them onto the leg / torso mats in Photoshop - which can also be interesting to get the lace tops right. Fun stuff.... 😁
I so feel your pain about stockings... I got them pretty tight here but couldn't quite get the right look for hosiery material! >.<
I've been known to paint them on, too, but I had this pair that came with the outfit so.... XD

Going by the title I was half expecting some Southern setting and Rhett Butler, but no less intrigued by the future setting, she certainly looks imperious enough to be a southern belle, unlike DarkGlass I've never played third person computer games except for DOA on the PlayStation when the web bubble came and we had to shut the office and sell everything, living at the edge...those were the days
Thanks, Paul! I've not played computer games either and had to Google the character to find out about her. I shared a bit of it in my text description of the picture. The information I got is what led to the industrial background. Although I gave her a charming, confident smile she is evidently an evil woman in the game whose hobbies include abusing her underlings. XD

Very nice Molly - I played FFVII at its release and don't remember Scarlet but from what I can see I should have...great to see 'lesser' characters instead of the endless barrage of Clouds, Tifas and Aereths. You have her expression nailed regardless of what it looks like in newer releases. Don't think the stockings look bad and had no idea they could be difficult in Poser. Must be some texture sets available.
Dress could be 'steampunky' with a few texture tweaks.
Thanks, JD. --Wartech-- has a ton of characters at her Forender site that are most likely all in violation of the various game owner copyrights but she skates along the edge of legal, I guess. Lots of nice characters for DAZ Studio only but some, like this one, are set up with V4 and therefore easily brought into Poser.
I probably would have been better to abandon the stockings that came with her and used something with better material zones and the like. I couldn't get rid of a kind of "leathery" look on them... maybe with a bit more tweaking. ;P I am going to mess with the dress, though. When I have a bit of time... XD

Thank you for a lovely comment, Mazzam! It worked out pretty well but in the end I was just using the color that the character wears in the game. I think what helped was keeping the background kind of dull by comparison. =)

I don't have the game though but, I watched some youtube videos; she still looks gorgeous.

She looks like a game character, even though Final Fantasy isn't one I have really looked at--and I love her pose and smile. Definitely a boss and the stocking are just fine :D
