One of the Underground Shamans
This part of this Shaman’s story is true.
In my late 20’s I took a three week trip to the Florida Everglades to birdwatch with a friend. I studied many books about the Everglades ecology before I went. Once there, it was like walking through a totally alien world. There were chicken-sized birds, deeply iridescent, walking light and colors, from head to tail - dark ibises flying like mysterious shadow angels overhead. Not one single sound there was a familiar sound.
On the very last night I was there, before coming back to the normal world, I had this dream:
I was shown that between all the objects you see here every day - are Golden Stairs. These Golden Stairs lead to the dimension where the perfected versions of all we know here - Live - in all their beauty and glory. And - if we could only know how - any one of us could go up those steps at any time.

She is a Weaver. She weaves together all the Magic and Beauty and light that lives in the dimension that is up the Golden Stairs - with the Reality that we know - here.
She brings back pieces and glimpses of a wholeness and perfection we all wordlessly yearn for - and shares with us, all we can inhale.
The way she looks in this image, is how she looks when she comes back down the Golden Stairs, woven - inside and out - with all it’s light and Magic.

There was a whole series of books written in the the 1930’s or 1940’s about a group of white Beings who were all around the Earth, watching and helping us. This was not science fiction literature. The books were written to help us know that they were there.
Sadly, at this moment I cannot remember titles nor author.🙃

oh my, i'm with your other fans that this is a wonderful phantasmagorical vision...it's the mind encompassing everything (the universe inside us, "all in a grain of sand"). Beautiful explosion of light in the shaman's head: Even her eyes are alit (w/ a blue light), and the current runs all through her. But the energy shoots way outside her as well, shaping everything in its path. A meditation teacher said (years back) that in deep meditation you'll see a tiny dot inside you, and that one shouldn't see it as 'tiny', because the whole universe is bursting into existence in that dot, like the big bang. That's what you've conveyed here. Not a dot, but that the whole universe is inside. Your dream of stairs is a perfect image (the invitation to go up and in...) In the Zohar (kabbalah), they said that the wanderers in the desert crawled into their own graves every night, so they could be reborn every day; and all the truth they sought was right there in the sands. That seems to fit what you've written. I have a feeling the ground near your home was trembling when you did this. That's good: It should. Beautiful work, Rose. Explosive, luminous and jeweled.
