Description
Vernon and Michiko had felt a connection on the first day of school. They spent every possible free moment together, which was hard since they both had lots of family obligations and extra curricular activities. On those days when time permitted, the two had serious discussions about their future and some not so serious talks that made each other laugh. It was nice having someone who understood you.

really finely composed. Vernon flows right into Michiko, and her form is like the punctuation mark on their "sentence". (forgive my cheap analogy!) And the whole piece harmonizes with them: the rocks behind them, and how the shore curves from her head and then right back to her, as it goes into the distance. (I realize it may have "come" that way, but you placed the two lovers really well into the picture.) Really well done, Teri. Your scenes are so natural and right. Living on a huge lake, this scene feels right at home...
