Description
Poser - Bryce- Amorphium - lots of Glass and layers of Glass. Thumbnail was a 4+ hour render, and full sized image was just short of a 12 hour render. All these Sea of Glass Bones pictures leave my computer gasping. 😁
Jane’s Diary - The Sea of Glass Bones
I have been a Guide here for quite a while now. This is, of course, a euphemism. The paths here lead you wherever they want you to go. And the landscape and landmarks of the Journeys are ever-changing
This was my first Guide here. I learned so much from her, and from my first journey - in.
Like me, she left her homeworld to live and “work” here in this world-with-a-mind-of-its-own. She brought a companion from her home with her, so she always has something familiar as she takes these journeys. It’s a wise strategy.
“The journeys we take here have so little to do with time and space as they are measured on other worlds,” she told me. “Going from point A to point B isn’t what really happens on these waterways.”
The art form of The Cloud Garden people - the natives of this mercurial world - is - oddly enough - to form stasis fields here and there where they create individualized ecologies and more or less stable “places” with incredible atmospheres. Places - that teach - and give actual experiences of an Order and Truths that cannot be spoken.
These Truths - these Cloud Gardens - are the stunning centerpieces here that all the offworld pilgrims and travelers come here especially to see - and experience.
Being a Guide here is about allowing the path to do the leading. It’s about not-knowing the way.

Beautiful render with an awesome story to go along with it! The render times taken were worth it...as this turned out excellent! Personally, I just wish that in my lifetime I could afford to have a computer that could render a complex scene in minutes and not hours or days! It would help with my long render times on my animations...typically a small 20 second scene can usually take me a week to render! Always a pleasure to view your wonderful works of art! :-)
