cool, i was thinking seeing a small cloud of steam rise from the hilt of the sabre as the water comes in contact. good scene so far.

Its a stunning bit of lighting thats for sure.
Now I want to play with the saber power crystal, change up the colors maybe, lol. A light blue might look cool, less intense but keep the steam for sure... ;)
lol, blue would be a good choice, just I read her new one was yellow-ish; just trying to work out if it is possible to get the fuzzy edge to the beam by using a second sleeve for the edge instead of relying on photoshop there are six point lights in the laser :)

Wonderful character and super lighting.. you already have a couple of good suggestions. i would play with the ightsaber positions...possible tilt it forward towards the viewer, Maybe even get some DOF...see what happens with the shadow cast ..obviously the better the shadow and light is...the more visually appealing it will be...top work interested to see where this goes...!!

The overall feel is excellent. There's always stuff in any render that can be tweaked (artists are usually their own worst critics), but the tonal harmony, lighting and composition of this are spot on, and i like the morph too.

The morph looks great, you might also try a splash brush in photoshop, just to simulate the rain hitting various parts in the scene.
