jolie carriole
Interesting and beautiful capture of this old horse-drawn carriage !!
The SUV of the time :) Cool old carriage!!!
Beautiful capture!
darn good shape being that old, thanks for sharing this cool photo of it JC. 5++
Always nice to see them in their real settings. Carrages in every way should find their places to the castles where they belong. I did see a collection from over all Europe and often had these thoughts
This is very interesting. I guess these type of carts were used to transfer hunting dogs...I always enjoy learning/seeing something new to me historically-thanks J_C.
You are right, my friend: "A dogcart (or dog-cart) is a light horse-drawn vehicle, originally designed for sporting shooters, with a box behind the driver's seat to contain one or more retriever dogs. The dog box could be converted to a second seat." (Wikipedia)
I like the old carriage, but not the "sporting shooters", so I don't mention them ;) Thanks you for you interest about my images, Barb, take care of you!
A fine looking mode of transportation and a wonderful photo, Jean! Nicely captured!
On the other hand, new horse-drawn carriages are rare.
A horse drawn sled in the snow is way more fun, lol... ❄️❄️❄️
Cela, ça ne polluait pas !
Wonderful old carriage.
Thanks for the description. Great catch!
