Description
The wrong-handedness of the "quick" render I did finally got to bugging me too much, so I opened the file back up and spent a little more time on it. The goal? Make it better, but don't make it take longer to render.
Goal achieved. Sorta. It was still fairly quick, but longer than before. More shiny surfaces, I suspect.
First things first, I fixed the pose using the symmetry tool. Got rid of the dangerous necklace (you really wouldn't want to wear that in a sword fight) and then defied my own logic by giving her a lip ring and a hoop earring. (Hey, she's still wearing heels so this is definitely glamour fantasy!)
Added a couple scars, a tattoo and just a touch of makeup. Obviously also got the rapier into the correct hand for the sheath.
A little tweaking to her expression. Loaded up the excellent eyeballs provided by Nightwind (THANKS!) and I'd call this a much better showpiece for the lovely Khemsit.
And to those that liked my render of Ellen? Don't worry. She'll be back. Spending a little time honing skills, and I got to figure out the best way to put an outfit on her that has a fuller sleeve. I just couldn't wait any long to show off these great eyes for the character! The more I sit with the idea, the more I think she'll be the star of my NaNoWriMo this year.
Peace and love,
~~LA
Outfit is mostly "dForce Aravine" with jewelry borrowed from here and there. Tattoo and lipstick from the LIE Pirate Makeup set, eyeliner from Material Wizard. The hair is C1 Spiky dForce Hair. Environment is "Fantasy Loading Dock."

A very interesting and intelligent looking character! She looks very competent and able to take care of herself! A marvelous portrait to be sure.
Thank you. She's learned to navigate wet decking in stiletto boots, so this relatively dry dock is perfect for a little swordplay!
Nicely done!
Thanks!
extrem great render ... like the details of this high quality render
Thank you. I like going in and adding stuff. Sometimes I don't have no rhyme or reason to it. I'm glad you like her. Me, I think they've been releasing some fantastic Originals lately, with some of the best skin I've ever seen in any digital character.
excellent !!
Thank you! You're so kind.
wonderful looking character - excellent
Thank you very much!
Great looking character...buccaneers can be pretty !
Thanks, and yeah! For sure I happen to think that Khemsit is a work of art all on her own, so...
very well done.
Thank you, my dude!
Nicely done!
Thank you very much.
Lovely work. Great character, and the pose fits, nice to see the sword in the correct hand for the sheath too!
Indeed! I was glad the symmetry tool made it work. Sometimes it does some very strange things. Thanks for having a look.
Wow !! Marvellous scene a very nice job well done
Thank you kindly.
Outstand job !! Detail is top notch, Cant wait to see more : )
Thank you! I think the next Khemsit render might surprise you...
The lighting in this is awesome!Excellent render and character.👏👍🙋♂️
Thank you. It is amazing what can be done with the sun-sky setting, if you just play iwth it. Whoever put together that part of Daz, I hope they got a raise.
is she from Tamp Bay? just watching FB right now. she looks like a azz kicker.
She's from everywhere. I have stayed off of FB and not watched TV at all today. Or yesterday. Pretty much just avoiding it for the now.
Great character and work!
Thank you! Have a good one.
i really like how you put this one together... love her look and style :))
Thanks. I think it came togetehr really well, too.
Beautiful image! So glad you found the eyes useful :)
Thank you. I wasn't quite ready to work on Ellen's next picture (Having a bit of trouble with the amputated arm) but I couldn't resist putting them to use! Thank you again.
Beautiful little pirate,wonderful image,excellent work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you very much, my dude.
Great character!
Thank you very much!
very sweet babe and clothing
Thank you, Richard.
OK, I like her, she looks like a total scamp. And never knock the value of a good set of spike heels in hand to hand combat.
I figure she just had training as a ballerina and walks on her toes anyway. O.o. Thanks. I really do like the model, and after spending time on the scene, like the outfit, too.
Hey, if a girl's gonna kick butt, she's gotta look her best, ya know? And a well-placed kick with a spike heel can make a bad guy cry for his momma... As you shall see... 😉
Khemsit looks like she'd be a riot to hang out with - as long as one stayed on her good side! Sweet work with her!
Thanks. I think she just might make an appearance in my campaign - Hey, I'm a DM. I can reuse assets if I want to! Thanks for having a look. I just read your new page - keep up the great work!
The outfit looks great and really adds to her pose and expression!
Thank you, hashdoc! Having a good week?
