Description

Lilian's Lovebirds (aka Nyasa Lovebird) are endemic to Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. They are listed as "Near Threatened" with 6,000-15,000 mature adults left. The population is suspected to be in decline owing to predation by invasive species (e.g. domestic house cats) and unsustainable levels of exploitation (captured for the pet trade). They feed on grass seeds, millet, wild rice, flowers, and available seeds and fruit of other species. Rendered in Firefly without any post work. Models include my Kiwi habitat, fig branch and lovebirds.
