Description
Aurelio is a very important man. His family owns everything as far as the eye can see and then some. He has set his eye on Darnissa, the beautiful daughter of the town banker. She does not welcome the attention, but is a realist when it comes to the facts of life in her area. To rebuff Aurelio’s offer of marriage would put her father’s bank and her whole family in a dire situation, so she has agreed to marry him. He will have his prized possession, her family will be secure and she will live a life of privilege like a bird in a gilded cage. But unlike the bird, she will know the meaning of the bars and what she has lost.
I was playing with Darnissa again and when I posed her she looked so forlorn that this story came to mind. Hope you like it.

I just read the description---I'd seen the image as it went up---heavy storyline! Real and painful. You once again caught the character of both really well. Aurelio really looks like a guy who's used to getting his way, esp with women; and he's a bit menacing in his gaze, too. And Darnissa looks steeled, privately pissed off, but unable to get away. She's really done well. (Btw---off topic: See how she's sitting? If I sat that way today---I'm almost 70---I'd be in that position for the rest of my life! They'd have to carry me off the beach like a statue.) Great job on both their postures; and the blend of them with (I assume) a photograph is totally convincing. These little storylines are a real specialty of yours, and they never fail to engage me totally.
