A bit worn by sand texture would stand this terrific modeled bike really well. It would be a pity if it remained a WIP. A scene like on Tatoine, with sand and mercilessly burning sun would be really great! Great work, my dear friend!

Nice model. Have you uv'd it yet? Have you tried 3D coat? Does very cool texturing and is pretty simple to get your head around. Actually, with 3D coat, you don't have to uv it and you can still texture it and export the albedo, gloss, spec, normal, metallic etc. "Steampunk jockey: steam turbine engines were texture in 3D coat and rendered with iRay render engine.
I use blender and cycles to render. I work with open source software (blender, gimp, ..., I think 3D coat is not free. Overbike has no texture because I have no idea for now. Thank you for your comment and advices
