'Wow'!! This is an awesome piece of artwork Steve!! I like everything about it....it has an 'air of mystery' about it.....and a bit of 'foreign intrigue'! One look at the confident, determined look on her face.....and you know that she means business.....she's not afraid of anyone or anything!! You wouldn't want to mess with her.....she looks like she could be a very dangerous opponent.....She looks like she should be with the 'TNA' Gals.....she would be a good one!! 'lol'!! boy you really got superlatives on this, "wow, brilliant work" (Barb) and a lot of other wows...Your color sense, and your way with dramatic light and shadow, is so spot on, one would think you came out of photography studios or hollywood for years. Great orange light here, with deep pinks as well. And this woman stands on a diagonal, but her head is straight up and down as if to say, "I straighten out for anyone who trespasses..." Great light on her, and her left arm (bathed in sudden neon white). A strong, sexy model, ready to take on any foe she sees...and your background has a number of Chinese motifs which you play with beautifully, incl even green neon and bright reds, etc. And the motorcycle is like a neon symphony....Terrific work, Steve. Chinatown has been a mythic theme in lots of detective writing for decades, I think because of the 'exotic' quality of a completely different culture, and the mix of ancientness (Chinese) with the darker elements that any 'outsider' culture evokes in writers. (There was even the famous film, "Chinatown," which was dark in mood.) You evoked that myth powerfully here.
