it's the middle of the night, but I'm wide awake and I wanted to comment on a couple more of your pieces before I step away from RR for another few weeks...this time I'm doing the most recent pieces...
I haven't heard your title word in an eon! You really do capture her ease with snakes (and that's a formidable snake beneath her!) I really like how she fills up the frame at the very front of your image, even though most of her body isn't visible. You've given her a pensive pose, like she's lost in some thought or memory. And she's very relaxed, even though she's resting on a zodiac (I presume), and in front of a snake and skull. (If I were in the midst of all those, I'd be out the door in a New York minute!) You combined all these elements easefully, along with the wonderful patterns on her arm, the metal snake, her partly decorated face, and all her locks and curls. Plus the pentagram in the background (inside a deep stone window-opening) is almost a head-dress for her. It's uncanny. I also love that all the light, here, is on her, and almost nowhere else. A fitting post-Halloween image, and beautifully done as always, Steve.
