Description

*Learn how to love art within yourself, not yourself within art.* Stanislavskij (yes, the one of the acting method.. :P) ---------------------------------------------- This peculiar "crux", is taken from Stravinskij's "Firebird". Being the composer a very different one, I tried here something different as well, focusin this time on the ballet as "essay of plastic gymnastic skills". Dancers are also athlets, there it comes here the detailes about musclar structure more than the rest. The only really wrong touch is sadly shoulder of the female, but I passed it by, since I liked the idea and I didn't want to start it again everything (it wouldn't have worked the same anyway). Firebird wasn't yet that revolutionary in Stravinskij's career, but I bet whomever would listen to his operas nowadays, would find him.. as exciting and blastering as Underworld. I do ;) Enjoy... Next one will be about my favourite ballet ever, Swan Lake.

Although I have never succeeded in seeing this ballet, this is the piece which made me love Stranviskij's music. I cannot count how often I have heard the Firebird...
There is a nice kind of symmetry in your image - symmetry at the first glance, but no longer at the second :-) The changes in black and white are a nice feature of this image too. I like this image very much :-)

It is almost impossible to say anything negative about a ballet and especially one as important as yours. Yet, ballet is about discipline and strict adherence so I will say his big leg juxtaposed with her little one requies too much from the suport to create a craft so I think they should both leap at this point to lighten the air.

There's a tao-like symmetry which I'm drawn to here. I like it :-) As for Underworld, I liked the first album but nothing after that grabbed me... but there's a quirky instrumental track called "Blueski" which I like very much :-)

Each one of the series is better than the last, and that's saying a lot because the first one was already good. I think the shape you've made in the background shouldn't be underestimated because it's a new type of element (as far as I can tell) and it works well. It's a pleasure to look at this.

i honestly don't know anything about ballet, however, i know i love this drawing. i'm sure the reason is that they have an intensity of expression on their faces.

This is truly beautiful art. You are so good at not only capturing what your eye sees, but also at what you are feeling too, and your ability to convey that feeling through charcoal and paper to the viewer is a true talent. The detail is excellent. The whole ballet series is really turning out great. I can hardly wait to see the Swan Lake as I like that ballet very much too.

the Swan Lake paradoxically will be very simple.. almost.. "childish" because I will and I am sketchin it like I was used to when I was little :) Being the ballet which turned me on loving all of them at a very early time (I was 4 years old) there will always be this..old time innocent feeling there ;) Hope to make something good then too. I'll post it tomorrow I think :) Thank you everyone to like the previous as well already :)

This one is passionate! I like the sense of tension in the muscular structure... (How I missed your gallery in these day without my comp!)
