Description
Victoria had high hopes for this evening. Her boyfriend has been dropping hints of big changes coming and she imagined a diamond and security in her future. As it turned out, he was getting a promotion that required moving to another state but she was not in that picture. He was actually oblivious to her disappointment being totally absorbed in himself. She made nice noises and excused herself early to get away before she made a fool of herself. Sitting in her apartment with her faithful dog, she allowed herself a pity party before going to bed. Tomorrow would start a new chapter in her life and she vowed not to be a victim of a self-centered man ever again.

calling the guy self-centered is kind---he sounds like a real jerk. "Oh btw, I'm moving to a new job, and you can't come. But have a good life!" If the room were darker, it would be a perfect setting for that 3 a.m. bar song ("it's quarter to three, there's no one in the place but you and me...") You got her mood spot on in her posture and cigarette. She looks like the kind of person who wouldn't normally smoke, but who made an exception for this awful night. The light is quiet but intense, and the long couch brings her abandonment right home. (Well, she has her dog, who's no doubt a ton more loyal than her ex was!) Really well done once more; and you handle her clothing beautifully, as you do in all your images. Fine looking necklace and earrings too.
